Appointments

All our surgeries are run using an appointment only system.  Patients turning up unannounced, without an appointment, will not be seen, but will be asked to make an appointment.  Appointments can be booked by telephoning the surgery or at reception in person.

You can also book appointments online if you are registered with Emis Access (contact reception for details on how to register).  If you are already registered with Emis Access: book an appointment.

We try to make sure you see the doctor of your choice, but, if they are not available, we may ask you to see another doctor.

If you are too ill to come to the surgery and you require a visit at home, please call the surgery before 10.00 am.  Home visits take up much more of a doctor’s time than a consultation in the surgery, so if you are mobile, please come into the surgery to be seen.

Failure to Attend Appointments

Due to an increase in the number of wasted appointments through patients failing to attend without informing the surgery, it has become necessary to implement the following policy:

If you fail to attend for 3 appointments you will be considered for removal from the practice list and may have to find an alternative doctor.

If you cannot attend your appointment for any reason, please let us know as soon as possible, we can then offer the appointment to someone else.
