Appointments

All our surgeries are run using an appointment only system.  Patients turning up unannounced, without an appointment, will not be seen, but will be asked to make an appointment.  Appointments can be booked by using the Patient Access service (book an appointment), telephoning the surgery, or in person at reception.

We try to make sure you see the doctor of your choice, but, if they are not available, we may ask you to see another doctor.

If you are too ill to come to the surgery and you require a visit at home, please call the surgery before 10.00 am.  Home visits take up much more of a doctor’s time than a consultation in the surgery, so if you are mobile, please come into the surgery to be seen.

Extended Access Appointments

We offer weekday evening and weekend appointments at our neighbouring ‘hub’ practice which is at Ireland Wood Surgery, Iveson Approach, Ireland Wood, Leeds, LS16 6FR.

  • Midweek appointments available: Monday to Friday from 6.00pm to 8.00pm
  • Weekend appointments available: Saturday from 8.00am to 4.00pm and Sunday from 9.00am to 1.00pm

Please contact Reception to book one of these appointments.

Failure to Attend Appointments

Due to an increase in the number of wasted appointments through patients failing to attend without informing the surgery, it has become necessary to implement the following policy:

If you fail to attend for 3 appointments you will be considered for removal from the practice list and may have to find an alternative doctor.

If you cannot attend your appointment for any reason, please let us know as soon as possible, we can then offer the appointment to someone else.
