Changes in ordering your repeat prescriptions from 1st October 2018

In line with many practices in Leeds, and our commitment to improve management of repeat prescribing systems, particularly with regards to patient safety and reducing medication wastage, from 1st October 2018  pharmacies and suppliers of medical appliances will not be able to order medicines on your behalf.  You will now need to order your repeat prescriptions from the practice when you have 7-10 days of medicines left.  You should contact your pharmacy to let them know you have ordered a prescription if you wish them to collect or deliver this to you.

If you already order repeat prescriptions directly from your GP this change will not affect you.

If you have nominated a pharmacy or appliances contractor to receive your prescriptions electronically this will continue.

We thank you for your co-operation in this.
